Police are currently dealing with an incident where a woman was attacked by what is believed to be a German Shepherd breed of dog on Longway, Barrow-in-Furness.

The woman has been taken to Furness General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police ask members of the public that if they see the dog to not approach it.

Please report sightings to Cumbria Police urgently on 101 and ask to speak to an officer at Barrow Police Station.
