Emergency Services have been dealing with incidents across Cumbria due to the high winds in the County.

The A66 from Kirby Stephen, has be partially closed to high-sided vehicles.

Incidents in Cumbria currently being attending by emergency services include:

· In Barrow at Westmorland Street, a property has partially collapsed, all occupants have been evacuated. The area is closed to traffic at this time, which includes a closure on Westmorland Street and Rutland Street.

· Workington- The A596 has been closed near Asda due to wooden cladding on the building being considered unsafe. The road is closed between Lowca Lane and Northside Roundabout. Vehicles can use a diversion via Seaton but this is unsuitable for high vehicles due to a low bridge.

· A592- tree across road between Newby Bridge and Windermere, road blocked.
