Appeal Following Hit and Run Collision, Hartlepool

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in which the driver of the vehicle made off from the scene.

The collision involved a 24-year-old male cyclist and a vehicle at around 6.30pm on Tuesday 10th December at the junction of Windermere Road and Ashgrove Avenue in Hartlepool.

The vehicle is believed to have driven on to Ashgrove Avenue in the wrong direction, with no lights on.

The cyclist attended the One Life Centre where he was treated for cuts, bruising and broken teeth.

Any witnesses to the incident or anyone who may have information regarding the vehicle is asked to contact PC Simon Gee from Hartlepool Police on 101, quoting reference number 217297.
