The bodies of a mother and toddler have been found in a house at Bonnyrigg, Midlothian.
The discovery was made at a property on South Chesters Lane in Bonnyrigg at 6.30pm on Saturday.
The woman, aged 29, and the boy, aged two, were found dead at the property after a family friend had raised the alarm.
A 32-year-old man is being treated in hospital following the incident at Chesters lane. Police are with him in hospital and want to speak to him with the connection of this serious incident.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death on the mother and child. #4
