£3,000 items stolen in burglary

Helmsley police are appealing for information about a burglary near the town.

It occurred between Saturday 14 December and Monday 16 December 2013, at a farm close to Cawton.

The burglars stole a power washer, batteries and a Stihl saw, with a combined value of around £3,000.

PC Steve Leach, of Helmsley Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you saw anyone acting suspiciously, or any unusual vehicles, in the Cawton area around the time of the burglary and theft, I ask you to contact the police straight away.”
