POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 20 year old woman lost three front teeth after being punched whilst dancing in a Blackpool nightclub.

The assault took place around 3.30am on Friday 8th November 2013 when the woman was dancing on the crowded stage area of the main dance floor at Flamingos Nightclub.

She has been approached by a man who after an exchange of words has allegedly punched her in the mouth causing her to lose three front teeth.

Door staff offered first aid to the woman before she was taken by taxi to hospital.

DC Neil Smith from Blackpool CID said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a local woman who was enjoying an evening out with friends.

“The assault has understandably had an effect on both the physical as well as psychological welfare of this young woman.

“The club and stage area were very busy at the time of the offence and it is important that we establish the full facts around what happened and identify the man involved therefore I would appeal to anybody that witnessed this incident or with any information that could assist with our investigation to contact Blackpool Police on 101 quoting crime reference AX1306027.”

The offender is believed to be slim build with blonde hair.

People with information can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
