Police can confirm that they are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the A689 between Alston and Nenthead.

Emergency Services are currently in the area dealing with the incident. The road will be closed and diversions are in place on the Blaghill Road, B6294 from Nenthall on the A689 to A686 the Junction at Clarghill Hall.

More information will be released once details have been confirmed.

All motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
