Lancashire Police have today released a CCTV image of a man they need to speak to following the theft of a poppy box.

The charity box was stolen from a Hotel on Morecambe Parade.

The theft took place around 6.30pm on Sunday 27th October 2013 in the Pier Hotel on Marine Road, Central.

The charity box which is believed to contain £30.00 was stolen from the bar.

PC John Bradshaw has told Breaking News “This is a despicable offence and I would urge anyone who has any information about the identity of the man in the CCTV image to contact Lancashire Police on 101 Quoting crime reference BB1304162”

Police have also appealed for people who want to give anonymous information to the the independent charity crimestoppers on 0800-555-111 or on-line at crimestoppers.org.uk.
