A police chief has reacted to ‘vile’ tweets left on Twitter following an incident in which a male threatened to jump off a bridge over the M48 forcing its closure for more than 24 hours.
Although diversions were in place, the M4 remained jam packed as motorists refused to follow the diversions, they took to twitter to encourage the ‘selfish’ male to jump.
Assistant Chief Constable Tweeted
“Acknowledge inconvenience & frustrations #M42 closure. The intolerant, hateful & ‘don’t you know what you’re doing’ brigade should be ashamed”
Further tweeting “No shortage of armchairs or experts to fill them giving advice &/or being vile about people/things they know nothing about #M42”
Finally add “No shortage of armchairs or experts to fill them giving advice &/or being vile about people/things they know nothing about #M42”
ACC Morgan later went on to explaining dialog as in the suggestion the police did not kill Someone. As was speculated on Twitter.
We rightly agree with the ACC comments, and believe he has every right to have a little ran about the issue.
Good on you sir.
