Police can now name a 72-year-old woman who died following an incident at 4:40pm on Saturday 23rd November at an address on Fosdyke Green in Middlesbrough as Rose Doughty.

Today, her family paid tribute to her, saying: “She was a fun-loving mam and nana. She fully embraced modern life with her use of social networking and she wouldn’t have classed herself as ‘old’.

If you knew her you would love her and she would do anything that she possibly could for anyone.

She lived her life through her family and grandchildren. She was a mother of four and had eleven grandchildren and many, many close friends.”

Overnight a 41-year-old man was charged with her murder. He appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court today.
