A Midwife has today been found guilty of leaving a baby in her care face-down in a cupboard.

Yvonne Musonda-Maltata 35 today was found guilty it was found that she failed to provide appropriate clinical care to a baby while working on a night shift at Queen’s Hospital in Essex in 2011.

Ms Musonda-Malata denied her part in the actions saying “I did not put the baby in the cupboard at all. At all. I did not,” she told the panel.

she is expected to appear again tomorrow to see if she will now be punished over the incident, the second midwife involved in the incident Colleague Christine Onade has been cleared of all charges, Onade was accused of putting the baby in the cupboard.
