Police have arrested a man on suspicion of assault following an incident in the Bongo nightclub in Middlesbrough on Sunday 27th October.

A 34-year-old man suffered serious facial injuries in the incident, which resulted in him needing 70 stitches.

The 41-year-old man was arrested on Saturday 2nd November and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police would again ask anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Middlesbrough CID or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
