Former Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins who appeared in court today has admitted two charges of attempting to rape a baby.

The 36-year-old rocker faces 24 sexual offences which include two charges of attempting to rape a baby which he has admitted to today.

Watkins is further accused of possessing, making and distributing indecent images of children, Watkins has been remanded in custody since he was arrested last year.

Watkins has appeared at Cardiff Crown Court today his trial was expected last around three weeks, it is unclear if the trial will now be stopped or whether he has addmitted the other 22 charges.

Two women, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also face sexual offence accusations as part of the case.
