Police have this morning issued an appeal over the Death of three-year-Old Danny Wake from Darlington.
Little Danny was tragically killed in a Hit and Run at the junction of Falmer Road and Neasham Road, Darlington on Monday 4th November 2013.
Durham Constabulary have have reviewed hours of CCTV and have interviewed a number of witnesses.
A team has been set up dedicated to investigating the incident which is made up of the Major Crime Team and officers from the Roads Policing Unit.
Detective Superintendent Kevin Weir, has said “The appeals for information we made last week generated an overwhelming response from the public and I would like to thank each and every person who got in touch with something they felt may help.
“My investigation team is continuing to work hard to look into each piece of information that comes in and as a result we are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.”
Det Supt Weir added: “I would like to refresh our appeal for information today by asking for the person responsible for driving the vehicle that killed Danny to come forward. We need a name of that person and I would ask that people continue to come forward to help us.”
