A man from Billingham unexpectedly had the window to his flat on Knole Road smashed following a walk home from the towns Asda.

The male was followed home by what is believed to be a group of males aged between 13 to 15 years old.

As soon as the male entered his flat it is believed a brick was taken from his wall and used to smash the window to the flat.

Cleveland Police have been conducting an area search.
