Cleveland Police have confirmed a man had died in a Horror smash on the A19 at around 5.30am this morning.

Police have not been able to inform the family about the death yet and will be unable to release further details until they’ve been informed.

The horror smash happened on the A19 this morning, which involved two HGVs and a car.

Police have further confirmed a woman was hit by a lorry following the horror smash.

She is currently in James Cook University Hospital.

Cleveland Police have told Breaking News that both north and southbound of the A19 remain closed.
