Police and Bomb disposal experts have been called to a mosque in Wolverhampton following reports of a possible bomb which police are describing as a ‘device’.

Police have evacuated Wolverhampton Central Mosque and a large area around the building.

Police are currently carrying out a search of the area.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said the evacuation was necessary “to ensure the absolute safety and security” of the local community.
