Breaking News is today announcing the appointment of our chosen charity.
Joshuas Journey is a charity that we considered for a couple of months to become our chosen charity.
It is our aim that we will increase awareness and raise the profile significantly of Joshuas Journey and an increased number of donations.
It is our plan to partake in a number of athletics events and a variety of sponsored activities while further raising the awareness of Joshuas Journey to encourage our 60,000 online monthly readers the opportunity to make a donation to the charity, and further increase awareness on our social media pages.
Why we selected Joshuas Journey
For those of you who don’t know about our amazing Joshua, he was diagnosed with his first brain tumor in 2004 age 3 and a half & following complex surgery due to the location of the tumour on the brain stem, was left with complex physical disabilities
Joshua now 12, has severe neuromuscular disabilities & the level of care needed requires a fully adapted home & specialist equipment .Despite the daily challenges he faces, Joshua continues to make the world smile.
Where will Donations go?
Joshuas Journey are working hard to raise these funds, through grant applications, fundraising events & social media- with this site we will not only show Joshuas Journey, but will in the long term, help other children like Joshua with help & grants for equipment.
Why we need donations
Joshuas parents share his care & due to DLA funding restrictions Joshua isn’t entitled to 2 fully adapted homes, so we need to privately raise funds for all his needs. We need to raise £25,000 to cover house adaptations, inc a ceiling track hoist, a special medical bath, building work & other basic equipment.
Please donate here.
